The Art of the Slow Moment:
A Return to Film
From the Studio of Norsworthy Photography
For the past 35 years, I have been obsessed with capturing the human spirit. My journey began not with a sensor and a screen, but with the tactile click of a mechanical shutter and the quiet magic of silver halide reacting to light.
In an era of digital perfection and fleeting snapshots, I am returning to my roots.
I am preparing to open a limited number of Boutique Film Portrait Sessions. This isn't just a photoshoot; it’s an analogue experience designed for those who value depth over pixels and permanence over "content."
Why Film?
The Aesthetic: There is a grain, a soul, and a tonal range in black and white film that digital filters simply cannot replicate.
The Intent: With only 12 frames per roll, every shutter release is a shared decision. We slow down. We breathe. We see.
The Legacy: These are portraits meant to be printed, framed, and passed down through generations—true archival art.
Help Me Shape This Experience
I want this service to be as timeless as the images themselves. As I finalize the details for the official launch, I would love to hear what resonates most with you.
If you have a moment, please let me know:
The "Why": What draws you to an analogue portrait? (Is it the nostalgia, the high-end aesthetic, or the desire for a physical heirloom?)
The Presentation: Do you envision a large-scale hand-printed silver gelatin master for your wall, or a curated leather-bound folio of original proofs?
The Subject: Would this be a legacy portrait of yourself, a study of your children, or a generational piece (e.g., you and your parents)?
Register Your Early Interest
I will be offering a select number of "Founding Film Sessions" at a special rate to those on this early-interest list before the public launch.
